Fake News/Real news--Can We Tell the Difference?

Evidently not so many of us .  The results of a Stanford group study released on November 22, 2016 indicates that students from middle school all the way to college age do not recognize the basics of evaluating a source. Evaluating Information: the Cornerstone of Civic Online Reasoning was conducted by the Stanford History Education Group over 18 months.  Take a look at the design and summary results of the study, as well as samples of the exercises that were provided for the students.
