New Shelving for Picture Books

Library staff have taken steps to ease the lives of education majors and library student workers who re-shelve books while at the same time eliminating an eyesore at the back of the library.   The eye sore was the shelving unit at the top of the stairs that held an old and unsightly LP record collection. The difficulty faced by education majors and student workers was the crowded condition of the picture book collection that made finding and re-shelving the books a heinous task.  Visionary staff members (Ann Jacques and Andy Wolter ) saw that the record shelves with their dividers might make excellent shelving units for picture books and that, refinished, they could be transformed into beautiful hardwood bookcases.   After some hard work over break their vision became reality.  Check out the new home for our picture books.  Also watch for LP record give aways to be coming soon.
