Banned Books Week

Join readers across the United States in celebrating the freedom to read during Banned Books Week from September 22-28.  Watch YouTube Read-Out videos, including The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Of Mice and Men, and Lord of the Flies.  Find out more about the history of banned and challenged books at the Banned Books Week site or visit the American Libraries frequently challenged book site


Check out the Fitzgerald Library's display of banned and challenged books and enter a drawing to win special Banned Books Week prizes.  To enter all  you need to do is check out a book (any book, it does not have to be a banned book) at the Circulation Desk.  The top half of your date due receipt with your name on it will be your entry ticket.  Prize winners will be announced on Monday September 30th.  (Please just one entry per person)
