Welcome to students from the Literacy Graduate Program. In your honor we have created a display of the 2008 award-winning books for children and young adults in the lower level of the library just outside of our Children's and Young Adult Collection. Please be sure to check it out (literally and figuratively).The Children's and Young Adult Collection has been reorganized to make it easier to access. Rather than cataloging all the books within the Dewey Decimal System, we have organized the fiction books into three sections--Young Adult, Children's Literature, and Picture Books--and have arranged them by author rather than by Dewey number. The non-fiction books continue to be shelved by Dewy number. Since most school libraries are organized along these lines, your experience in our library should better prepare you for using the libraries in the schools where you will be working.
