Therapy Dog in the Library

Rocky the Reference Dog

The Fitzgerald staff tried something new during finals this year--a therapy dog.  Colleges and universities across the country are providing students with the unique stress relief that a dog can offer.  Students passing through the library on Saturday December 14th were able to pet and generally establish warm relationships with Rocky the Reference Dog, a five year old Golden Retriever.

 Both students and dog appeared to be enjoying the experience a great deal.

Next semester we hope to offer more such bonding experiences in the library.
